Now that the Studio Display has appeared in Apple’s catalog, the manufacturer has decided to make room on its shelves by removing the UltraFine 5K from its American store. The 4K version is still available at the price of 699 $.
The large monitor — the fruit of the collaboration between Apple and LG — posed lots of reliability issues and its availability was random. On this side of the Atlantic, it does not change anything since the two models have not been sold by Apple since February 2021, due to continent-wide regulations.

However, we managed to find them at third-party retailers, such as on Amazon. last summer, and if you search carefully, there must be a few boxes left here and there. The UltraFine 5K was sold for $1,299 (€1,399), compared to $1,599 (€1,749), but this price difference can be explained by the addition of quite a few technologies in the new screen.
