Víctor Brahiar Sánchez Solano, one of the two men who were gunned down yesterday by unknown assailants on the Mella highway in Santo Domingo Este, resided in the United States, where according to information provided to Listín Diario he appears with several police records.
According to confidential data, Sánchez Solano appears with three files in the justice system in the United States: one in 2009, for assault, another in 2006 and another in 2004.
While in the Dominican Republic the authorities try to investigate their links with criminal activities.
In addition to Sánchez Solano, Fernando Santos Martíne was also killed in the incident, and the young Julio César Marte Rodríguez, who is being held at the Darío Contreras hospital and where he underwent emergency surgery last night, was injured.
According to a witness to the event, the jeep where the deceased and the wounded were traveling was moving down the street at a slow speed, and suddenly two hooded and unrecognizable men in a motor started shooting at the vehicle, “and they unloaded a charger and then they put another one”.
Authorities say they are investigating the incident.
