As reported by KU, LZ Ruseckienė is a widely known researcher both for her literary pedagogic works and for her innovative education of young Lithuanianists. She published the first Lithuanian literature teaching methodology textbook for high school students in the Republic, prepared teaching methodology publications.
Liuda Zinaida Ruseckienė in 2007 was awarded a high Lithuanian science prize for the cycle of works “Literature Pedagogy (1998-2004)”.
Throughout her career as a researcher (dissertation Problem teaching in the system of analysis of writer’s creativity (the poetry of Maironius, J. Janonis and S. Nėries in grades 9-11 was defended in 1973) L. Ruseckienė published more than ten books on literature teaching issues. L. Ruseckienė’s monograph Literature pedagogic studies (2001) is a systematized work covering the entire pedagogical process, used and used in Lithuanian higher schools that train philologists of the Lithuanian language and literature. The researcher wrote over 100 scientific articles, gave presentations at republican and union scientific conferences, participated in scientific conferences of the Ministry of Education LZ Ruseckienė’s field of scientific research was not limited to literature pedagogy, the researcher researched and published articles on paraliterature (autobiography, memoirs, diaries, letters, interviews, obituaries).
Scientist and teacher was born on February 16, 1934. In the village of Pačianė, Zarasai district. He studied at the Dusetai secondary school, where he worked following graduating from Vilnius University in 1960. K. Būga taught Lithuanian language and literature at secondary school.
After completing postgraduate studies, in 1972, she was appointed to the then Klaipėda Music Faculty as head. teacher Associate professor since 1978; In 1989, she was elected to the position of professor. In 1982-1989, LZ Ruseckienė was the head of the Department of Lithuanian Language and Literature, a member of the Scientific Council of Klaipėda Faculties, in 1991-1997 – a member of the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Humanities of Klaipėda University. The professor is well-deserved as a scientific leader of literary studies, who has opened up the difficult path of knowledge and analysis of fiction to many. The professor collaborated extremely productively and fruitfully with master’s students in literature and theater studies, a large part of whose works were published in the magazine “Gimtasis žods”.
The researcher was invited to work in various commissions as a specialist in the teaching methodology of Lithuanian literature, read special courses at the Vilnius and Šiauliai Pedagogical Institutes, Vilnius University. As a long-term member of the Lithuanian language and literature section, she worked in various commissions of the ministry, helping Lithuanianists in secondary schools. The professor was a member of the editorial boards of the magazines Res humanitariae and Born.
Colleagues and graduates will remember her as being able to combine feminine elegance with professional professionalism and great love for work and students.
