Bruno Falconthe hip-hop dancer and choreographer known as “Pop N Taco,” died Saturday at his home in Long Beachin California. He was 58 years old.
The legend of the cult film “Breakin’” of the early 80s died of natural causes, confirmed her sister Diana Wolgamott to local media. The official cause of death has not been confirmed, but she said she believed he may have died of a heart attack.
The native of Los Angeles was a mainstay of street dance in the 80s and 90s.
“People mightn’t believe there was a Mexican who might dance“, said Falcon in the magazine Society Dance Academy. “They challenged me in front of school, a party or a high school dance. They were coming out, right in front of you, right in front of your face.“
It is in the role ofElectro Rock 1, in the breakdance hit “Breakin’” of 1984, which he cut his teeth in the general public, alongside the rapper and the future star of “Law & Order : SVU“Ice-T and the Dancer Adolfo Adolfo ‘Shabba Doo’ Quinones, which preceded Falcon dying at age 65 in 2020.
Falcon also collaborated with Michael Jackson and danced in the King of Pop’s music video, “Smooth Criminal“, for which he would have choreographed the now iconic movement, “anti-gravity lean“.
In addition to dancing for Janet Jackson, Lionel Richie et Chaka Khan, Falco also appeared in two Jackson short film projects:
“Captain EO“, directed by Francis Ford Coppola, winner of the Oscar for the “Godfather” in 1986, followed by “Moonwalker” in 1988.
Falcon appeared in 1991 in “Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey” alongside Keanu Reeves and he choreographed live action sequences for “Le Petit Thumb” the Don Bluth in 1994.
