Malainkeez: The police have arrested the second accused in the case of escaping on a bike in Chovvallur, Valappilsala. Prakash Babu (20) was arrested. Earlier, his accomplice Anand from Puliyarakonam was arrested. The incident started last Friday. A few local people organized a group of people and stopped the bike and banned the group that was doing exercise on the bike following they threatened the passers-by and school children during school hours in Paramuk, Chowvallur. The youths who had a dispute with the locals, challenged the locals and returned threatening to throw bombs at them.
On Saturday morning at five o’clock in the morning, the fourth gang arrived on two bikes and created an atmosphere of terror by lobbing country-made bombs at Chowvallur Paramuk intersection. A few people who were on the spot ran away and the accident was averted. A case has been registered by the Valapillashala police following the incident. Kattakkada DYSP Prashant Kumar visited the site. The first accused Anand was arrested in the extensive investigation conducted by the police.
Prakash Babu was taken into custody from the hideout by a special team yesterday.
