Following a father who abused and seriously injured his one-month-old daughter, a Vietnamese mother was also arrested on charges of abuse.
According to the police on the 8th, the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency’s Women’s Youth Investigation Unit arrested a 33-year-old Vietnamese citizen on the 7th on charges of habitual neglect under the Act on Special Cases concerning the Punishment of Child Abuse Crimes.
So Byeong-jin, the chief judge in charge of warrants at the Incheon District Court, issued an arrest warrant the day before, saying, “There is a risk of fleeing” following questioning the suspect before his arrest.
A is being accused of neglecting her husband, B, in her 40s, who was abusing her one-month-old daughter at her home in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, in March.
A even filmed her husband abusing her daughter with her cell phone. He told the police that he was filming “to show (how wrong he was to her husband)”.
Prosecutors indicted B on charges of attempted murder and habitual child abuse under the Child Welfare Act.
He is accused of trying to kill his daughter by beating her at home around 4 pm on March 5. Mr. B was found to have repeatedly abused her daughter, such as pouring milk powder into her nose or hitting her because she was crying. B’s daughter showed signs of cerebral hemorrhage along with her skull fracture, and she is currently hospitalized.
