One in four employees owns a company car, how about you? | Economy

The Securex group, which specializes in the field of social administration and human resources, relied on its portfolio of 9,648 companies in Belgium, or 39,378 employees in the private sector, to carry out its study. This shows that the proportion of employees on permanent contracts benefiting from a company car increased by 7% at national level between 2019 and the first half of 2022. They now represent 25% of employees, i.e. one in four in Belgium.

The study also shows that this upward trend is not true across the country. While the proportion is on the rise in Flanders (+10.7%) and Wallonia (+10.9%), it is falling on the other hand in the Brussels Region, from 25% previously to 22.4%. Note that the location chosen is that of the company, not that of the employee.
