One Dream Academy offers free clinics for young Anzoatiguenses (+Photos)

Starting this week, One Dream Academy has been offering free basketball clinics for Anzoatiguenses, in order to promote the practice of the discipline in eastern Venezuela.

Humberto Bompart, player for Spartans Distrito Capital in the Professional Basketball Super League (SPB), is one of the organizers of these activities that began in the Volcadero sector of Guanta and in the La Caraqueña neighborhood of Puerto La Cruz.

“The purpose of the clinic is to present an exciting opportunity for the youth of our communities. Our program is designed especially for those boys who, due to various circumstances, have not had the opportunity to enjoy this enriching experience,” explained Bompart, who resides in La Caraqueña and serves as a base.

Accompanying people in the task of instructing

Axiers Sucre (Broncos de Caracas) and Eliézer Montaño (Spartans), who in 2024 played on loan with Pioneros del Ávila in the SPB, are some of Bompart’s companions in training work.

Julio Bolívar, Fernando Ortega and Samir Aponte also help him. The latter is a renowned photojournalist who, on multiple occasions, carries out altruism campaigns aimed at benefiting people with limited resources.

“At One Dream Academy we have a team of professional coaches and players who are committed to providing comprehensive basketball training. Through our work module, participants will be able to learn the latest details of the game and develop skills that will be useful both on the court as in life,” explained Bompart, who began his career in the 2010s with Marinos de Anzoátegui, now from Oriente, and also worked for Gladiadores de Anzoátegui.

Goal of the institution

One Dream Academy seeks to provide young sports lovers with the tools to excel on the court, with the goal that they can aspire to become high-level athletes in the future.

The idea is that they learn the best techniques for dribbling, shooting and defending, something that Bompart considers quite feasible because they use an instruction mechanism based on interaction, in which the basketball players can answer the different questions that the boys ask them. .

“We are convinced that this clinic will not only provide technical basketball skills to athletes, it will also foster values such as teamwork and perseverance. We are confident that together we can make a significant difference in the lives of these young people,” concluded the pilot.
