One deceased and three injured was the result of a road accident that occurred this Monday morning on the Puerto Cabello – Valencia highway, Trincheras section.
According to the version of the authorities, the driver of a truck supposedly hit a Corsa vehicle from the side, which caused it to catch fire shortly following without the co-driver being able to get out and charred to death.
The injured remained on the pavement until Civil Protection commissions arrived and were transferred to the emergency room of the Ciudad Hospitalaria Dr. Enrique Tejera (Chet). Among them was the San Diego Municipal Police officer, Óscar Ponce, driver of the Corsa.
Apparently, the driver of the truck would have been detained while the investigations that determine the causes of the accident are carried out.
