The accident happened a stone’s throw from the Planckendael animal park.
A car hit two pedestrians (a woman and a man) in circumstances that have yet to be determined. The woman did not survive while the man was taken to hospital with injuries. A dog was also killed in the crash.
The driver of the car was also injured and taken to hospital.
The accident happened near the railway bridge, just before the entrance to the Planckendael animal park. The Chaussée de Louvain has been closed to traffic and will remain so for some time so that a traffic expert can make the usual observations. A diversion has been set up via the nearby E19 motorway.
