Manama: The Onam celebration organized under the auspices of the Malayali community of TTS JV Company, the main contractors of Bahrain Petroleum Company’s BAPCO Modernization Plant, became a unique experience due to the variety and presentation of the programs. Journalist Ashok Kumar inaugurated the celebrations by lighting the lamp. Under the leadership of Chief Coordinator Anian John, Jufire RP. Onam celebrations started in the morning at the tower and continued till the evening. The memories of Onam, a festival where Malayalees from all over the world gather and celebrate, are nostalgic for all Malayalees. Many people also shared that every new day brings new hopes.
TTSJV All the Malayalee family members participated in the artistic programs staged under the leadership of the Coordinator, Ani Viswanath. There were various art programs combining music with Onam songs and dance and competitions such as chair games, beauty contests etc. Prizes were distributed to the winners. Unlike the usual Ona celebrations, the sumptuous Ona Sadya, which was cooked by all the members from home, was remarkable. Chief Coordinator Aniyan John thanked everyone who worked behind it.
