ON VIDEO | Attacked for protecting a boy with a disability

A young woman will lose her eye following being attacked at her job while protecting the brother of one of her colleagues, NBC reported.

19-year-old Bianca Palomera says she was trying to stop a man from bullying a disabled boy, who was waiting for his brother to finish his shift, at Habit Burger Grill in Antioch, California.

“He hit me once, and my helmet and goggles fell off. He threatened and insulted me saying he was going to hit him. He said, “Why is he always looking my way?” That’s where I came in and said, ‘What you’re doing isn’t right,’” she testifies, speaking of the incident that took place on November 12.

Bianca was repeatedly beaten by a group of individuals. Doctors told her she was going to lose her right eye.

The young woman’s family has created a GoFundMe page to raise money to pay for medical expenses.

No arrests have been made so far, and the investigation is continuing.

Video of the incident was released in hopes of finding the culprit.
