ON VIDEO | An overly curious koala breaks into a gas station

An overly curious koala ventured into a South Australian petrol station last Saturday much to everyone’s surprise.

Did he have a craving? Was he looking for friends? Or just a hug?

The video above shows the marsupial doing a tour of the premises, passing soft drinks, then finally stopping in front of a shelf.

The poor man seemed annoyed, not knowing which candy to choose.

After going behind the counter, he found comfort on the leg of a visibly surprised employee.

“Take it out of there!” he says, laughing, to his colleague filming the scene, who replies that he doesn’t know how to do it.

He was even awarded the station’s “new employee” designation.

The animal wandered regarding 40 minutes in the trade before being picked up by wildlife services.

“He was well taken care of,” said a staff member.

“As far as I know, this has never happened before. This one (the koala) was really curious,” he added.
