Residents increasingly feel the low outside temperature in their homes, as well as those working in various premises, etc. We must ensure that people do not experience discomfort due to the cooling weather and do not put their health at risk,” says R. Duchnevich.
When starting heating, the recommendation is usually taken into account when the average daily outdoor air temperature is no higher than plus 10 degrees for three consecutive days.
Starting from this Wednesday, the heating of educational and medical institutions in the territory of the Vilnius district started.
Last year, the heating season in the Vilnius district started on October 12, and in educational and medical institutions of the Vilnius district a little earlier – on October 4. The heating season ended on April 19 this spring.
The municipality reminds that the Ministry of Energy has published calls for applications for state compensation for inefficient, biomass or fossil fuel boilers replaced by residents, with the aim of purchasing more efficient heating devices for residents of individual houses, reducing their heating costs and reducing the amount of greenhouse gas emissions.
