On the Run!, which will close its doors

License Crash Bandicoot will soon be back on consoles with Crash Team Rumble, a multiplayer-oriented opus. One might therefore think that it is in great shape, but it does not however manage to please enough the public accustomed to mobile games. The famous orange hero recently got a game on smartphones in the form of a runner with Crash Bandicoot: On the Run!which obviously did not meet with success.

A runner who is far from being a marathon runner

Launched last March, Crash Bandicoot: On the Run! eventually had a short life. We learn today that the mobile game is regarding to shut down, with a server shutdown set for February 16, 2023. After this date, the game will be inaccessible and will no longer be playable.

Starting today, all microtransactions are disabledwhich means that you can no longer spend a penny in the game. If you still have in-game currency, it is still possible to spend it, but a priori, no refund.

The development team spoke regarding this closure:

« Bringing your favorite Crash characters to life meant so much and we truly loved making this game. Thank you for spending your time with us and we hope you’ll join us in one of our many other games. »

We obviously wish a little more success to Crash Team Rumble and other licensed games.
