The Y9 Sports group, which is headed by the former captain of the Lebanese national team, Yasser Al-Hajj, organized a 3×3 basketball tournament under the auspices of the Lebanese Army Commander, General Joseph Aoun, at the “General Emile Lahoud Sports Complex (Mar Roukoz – Dekwaneh). Twelve teams in the men’s category over 18 years old from various Lebanese regions participated in this tournament, including two teams from the Lebanese army team. This, and the course was conducted in accordance with the laws and standards of the International Federation of the game. The matches were led by the federal referee, Ayman Naamani, and assisted by the federal referee, George Shmouni. The matches witnessed strong competition in the final rounds. The “A” team from the Lebanese army, consisting of Captain Elie Murad, Omar Al-Zouki, Elias Badr, and Danny Labous, qualified for the final round, and the “B” team from the Lebanese army, consisting of Peter Salama, Joseph Awad, Rami Khalifa and Tony Al-Jouki.
The Lebanese Army team “A” won the title by winning the exciting final match, with a score (21-18). In conclusion, the representative of the Army Commander, Colonel Mikhael Musa and Al-Hajj, presented the prizes to the winning teams. Al-Hajj presented a certificate of appreciation as a token of thanks and appreciation to the Army Commander, which Musa received. He also handed a certificate of thanks to the latter in his capacity as commander of the High Center for Military Sports.
