Shahrukh Saifi, the suspect in the Kozhikode Elathur train attack case, has arrived in Kerala in the company of the investigation team. They were meant to be heading to Kozhikode, but while en route, they suffered a punctured tire near Kannur Melur at around 3:30am. The team had no option but to wait for more than an hour on the road with the accused. Eventually, they resumed their journey using a different vehicle, with Shah Rukh lying on the back seat with his face covered with a bucket of water. When locals learned that the suspect was among them, they gathered in the area.
Once the team finally brings Shahrukh into Kozhikode, the law and order department will subject him to interrogation under the guidance of its ADGP. The violence occurred on Sunday night in the passenger train Alappuzha Kannur Executive Express at 9 pm. Shahrukh Saifi was apprehended by Maharashtra ATS downstream a tip-off, following which he was in custody at Ratnagiri railway station, before being found holding various documents, including a Motorola phone, Aadhaar card, PAN card, and bank ATM card.

While coming to Kozhikode, the tire of the vehicle they were traveling in got a puncture near Kannur Melur. The vehicle broke down around 3:30 am. Spent more than an hour on the road with the accused.
The investigation team was to reach Kozhikode with the accused in the morning. But the accused and the investigation team got stuck on the road due to a flat tire. Later the journey continued in another vehicle. Shah Rukh was lying on the back seat of the vehicle. His face was covered with a bucket of water. After knowing that the suspect was inside the vehicle, many people gathered in the area.
After bringing Shahrukh to Kozhikode, law and order department will be interrogated under the leadership of ADGP. The violence took place in the Alappuzha Kannur Executive Express train at 9 o’clock on Sunday night. Maharashtra ATS nabbed Shahrukh Saifi in a joint operation following a tip-off. Shahrukh Saifi was arrested from Ratnagiri railway station. A Motorola phone, Aadhaar card, PAN card and bank ATM card were in hand when he was caught.
