As noted by a reporter from Dan Viet newspaper, from early on the first day of the Lunar New Year, many people came to the Vung Chua area (Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province) to offer incense and flowers to Dai’s grave. General Vo Nguyen Giap.
In the cold weather at the beginning of the year, people lined up to visit the grave of General Vo Nguyen Giap. Everyone who came was respectful and bowed before the General’s heroic spirit.

Mr. Tran The Bao (in Thua Thien – Hue) shared: “On this occasion, I returned to my maternal hometown in Quang Binh to celebrate the Lunar New Year and from the morning of the 1st, the whole family went together to visit the grave of General Vo Nguyen Giap. It’s been a long time since I visited the General’s grave. Every time I feel a sense of relief and respectfully offer incense before the grave of the nation’s hero.”

After 4 years of the tomb being closed due to the Covid-19 epidemic and repairing some items, from the beginning of November 2023, this place has opened to welcome people to visit and offer incense.

Ms. Tran Thi Lan (in Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province) said: “Ten years ago, I and the crowd of people saw off General Vo Nguyen Giap to his resting place at Vung Chua. It has now been 10 years, General returned to the motherland. On the morning of the 1st, I went to the grave to visit, offer incense to the General’s grave and pray for good things to come to the family.”

It is known that from the end of January 2019 until now, the Border Guard force of Quang Binh province no longer manages and protects the grave of General Vo Nguyen Giap in Vung Chua, but this work is done by the General’s family.
