Vienna (OTS) – As part of the ORF program focus on the EU election (details available at presse.ORF.at), there will be another edition of the new “ZIB WISSEN” on Monday, May 6, 2024, at 8:15 p.m. on ORF 2. on the program, which accordingly has “Europe” as its theme. 30 years following Austria voted yes to the EU and one month before the European elections, the “ZIB WISSEN” investigates the question: What is Europe? ZIB historian Fritz Dittlbacher reports on the historical dimension of Europe. The program visits regions that should benefit from joining the EU and asks young people.
Brussels correspondent Raffaela Schaidreiter takes an insider behind the scenes of the EU bureaucracy. The expansion plans are also being examined. Paul Krisai was for “ZIB WISSEN” in Moldova, a country between hope for Europe and fear of Russia.
