On the Bolzano-Merano railway line, twice as many trains run on Easter Monday – Chronicle

BOLZANO. Easter is not only an eventful time in many parts of the province, but also a busy time on the roads. More traffic is expected with the FC Südtirol game.

Whether you are a football fan, a tourist or a hiker, Easter Monday is certainly the most comfortable day to travel by train: on 10 April the railway connections on the Merano – Bolzano line will be strengthened. Between 9:01 and 18:01 from Bolzano and between 9:16 and 18:16 from Merano, trains will run every half hour. And one thing is certain: each passenger who takes a seat on the train reduces the traffic jams on the roads a little.

Cadence to the half hour also in Bassa Atesina

Even for those coming from the south, the train is the best alternative. With the last timetable change in December, the train connections on this axis were significantly increased on weekend followingnoons, so that on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays – therefore also on Easter Monday – trains are available almost every half hour from and to Bozen.

All timetables are available on site and on the altoadigemobilità app.
