From the back cover of the book:
“Sometimes, when the light dims and the shadows grow, it seems to me that I have been walking these streets for years and years without end, a whole century, that I now know every tree, every puddle, every house, I now walk with my eyes closed, I am I’m a road too, sometimes empty sometimes full, sometimes with light and sometimes dark, to find the road you have to become a road, yes, but a road is a road if you don’t walk it, a candle is a candle if it doesn’t light, a knife is a knife if it doesn’t cut?
Tell her I love you very much and I won’t do it again.”
From the release presentation:
Seven years now I’ve seen a lot and I’ve heard a lot more, it’s the nature of the job, it’s mine too, I always go everywhere, whatever the time and day, near or far, rain, heat or snow.
“Tell her” is the story of a courier who wanders like a breeze through snow-capped mountains and silver seas, on unpaved, endless roads, without beginning and end, without marks and scratches, in and out of maisonettes with internal elevators and apartment buildings without elevators, and deliveries to good and bad people, rude and kind, tortured and well-lived – to people who seem ready to cry and others who don’t seem to know what crying is.
A story told in a language that sometimes protests and sometimes is silent, rejoices and shrinks, hides and reveals itself, struggling to follow the bloody footprints left by people and things in the snow. A story about the mystery, the pain, the tragedy, the madness, but also the humanity, the hope, the hidden beauty and the poetry of modern life.
