Speakers;
BRIAN CURRIN South African lawyer who fought against apartheid. He has worked as a mediator to resolve some international conflicts. He has also been involved in the search for democratic solutions to conflicts in the Basque Country.
MARTINA ANDERSON Irish republican was arrested in 1985 and sentenced to life imprisonment. In 1998 he regained his freedom in the peace process. Between 2007 and 2012 he was a member of the Legislative Assembly of Northern Ireland and held government responsibilities.
From 2012 she was a European parliamentarian until 2020 and due to Brexit she had to leave the European Parliament.
As a European parliamentarian, she was part of the Basque Friendship Group and made, among others, a trip in 2016 to analyze the situation of Basque prisoners, making visits with other parliamentarians and publishing an important report.
