On November 10, 2023 at 6 p.m., the A21 platform – Child Benefitwill be temporarily closed for citizens, in order to proceed with the process of calculating the payment of the fifth installment of the allowance on the last working day of November, as OPECA informs.
The platform will automatically open on November 30, 2023. In order for the grant to be granted, the application must be finally submitted and approved. An application that has been temporarily stored is considered not submitted and will not be considered.
The fifth installment of Child Benefit 2023 will be paid on Thursday 30 November, but the money will start going into accounts from the afternoon of Wednesday 29 November.
The entitled amount will be calculated on the basis of the dependent children that will be declared in the A21 application of the year 2023. After the submission of the 2023 Income Tax Return, the income of the tax year 2022 will be taken into account for the calculation of the entitled amount.
It is pointed out that from now on, among the conditions that will be checked for the granting of the child allowance are the attendance of the dependent children in compulsory education – from pre-kindergarten to high school – and the adequacy of attendance.
According to the protothema, the relevant fields must be entered in the A21 application, such as the details of the School Unit, Class and Registration Number of the child who is in compulsory education.
