The new variant of COVID-19, which is now dominant in the country, omicron, has increased active cases and infections rapidly.
It is important be alert to symptoms that, in some cases, are different from those of other variants.

The World Health Organization (WHO) warned that once infected, it will take a person 5 to 6 days to present symptoms.
When the person has already been infected, three days following contracting it they can begin to infect others and so on for the next eight days.
