During the Summer 2024 Plan, which began on March 23 and is still in force, inspectors from the Consumer Ombudsman’s Office have located some 250 expired products such as carbonated drinks, bakery, spices, sauces and condiments.
«There are 25 findings of non-compliance. One of the main findings in these verifications has to do with the detection of expired products. We have found expired products, especially bakery products, carbonated drinks, spices, sauces and condiments,” said the head of the Ombudsman’s Office, Ricardo Salazar.
The official classified this situation as worrying, because they are places of high consumption and people do not have access to kitchens, where these expired products have been found.
