The Namur Assize Court on Wednesday discussed the personality and criminal record of Omar Hedi, 36, who must answer for the murder of his wife, Mariana Gouverneur.
On April 18, 2021 around 11 p.m. in Rochefort, Omar Hedi stabbed Mariana Gouverneur, 25, to death with 29 stab wounds. The events took place in the apartment where the two protagonists and their 5 children lived, rue de France.
Concerning his personality, the accused specifies this: “When I am angry, I cannot control myself. I cannot stop. For example, when someone hurts me with words or gestures , I react. I don’t always think regarding what I’m doing and I can sometimes lose my temper.”
