Oman to open 70 hotel establishments by the end of this year

The Director General of Tourism Promotion in the Sultanate of Oman, Haitham Al Ghassani, revealed that 70 hotel facilities will be opened in the Sultanate by the end of this year.

In an interview with Al Arabiya on the sidelines of the Arabian Travel Market exhibition, Al Ghassani stated that: These hotels contain More than 4,000 hotel rooms.

He stressed that government plans to support the tourism sector contributed to alleviating the effects of the pandemic.

He stated that the government measures included postponing the deduction of the tourism tax and municipal tax, while providing incentives to small and medium enterprises in the Sultanate.

And he indicated that the most prominent nationalities coming to the Sultanate before Corona came from India, and at the level of the Gulf countries, they came from Saudi Arabia and the Emirates.
