Muscat: Oman ranks best in Asian continent for quality of life. Oman also has the proud achievement of being ranked 7th globally.

The Numbio Index is compiled by global agency Numbio by comprehensively examining various factors that contribute to improving the overall well-being and quality of life of individuals living in a particular country or city. Oman scored 184.8 points in the index. The Sultanate performed better than other Asian countries.

Oman ranked high on various factors affecting quality of life, including purchasing power, pollution levels, housing affordability, cost of living, safety and quality of healthcare, travel time and climate. Oman’s continuous investment in infrastructure development, healthcare and education has led to an increase in the quality of life. Oman ranks higher in this index than the Gulf countries.
