The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman LNG Company, Talal Al-Awfi, also confirmed that the company seeks, through these agreements, to renew its strategic partnerships with various international companies, in line with its goals for the period following 2024.

The Sultanate of Oman has signed 14 agreements to export liquefied natural gas, from the beginning of the year until September, under which it is committed to exporting regarding 10.4 million metric tons of liquefied natural gas starting in 2025, according to what Hamad bin Mohammed Al Numani, CEO of the Oman LNG Company, said.

Al-Numani said, in statements to the Oman News Agency at the time, that the Omani LNG Company succeeded in marketing its production beyond 2024, and was able to attract investors from new markets from the Middle East, East Asia, and Europe.

The agreements signed by the Omani company, which owns a factory in the Wilayat of Sur, which includes three locomotives for liquefying natural gas, include agreements with a number of major companies in Japan, Thailand, China, Turkey and Germany, according to what Al-Numani said.

The Sultanate of Oman is working to open new markets for the supply of liquefied natural gas, which contributes to supporting the country’s national economy, as LNG revenues are among the largest sources of national income in the Sultanate of Oman following oil.
