Muscat: Oman has strongly condemned the attacks carried out by Israeli forces in Gaza in violation of international humanitarian law. Oman warned that Israel’s planned ground war would have regional and global ramifications and would endanger peace and stability.

In a statement, Oman’s foreign ministry called for an end to the conflict in line with the October 27 UN General Assembly resolution and for urgent international intervention to facilitate humanitarian assistance.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Oman, Syed Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Jordan, Ayman Al Safadi, held telephone discussions regarding the serious developments in Gaza.
