Olympics 2024, Paris – the results of the performance of the Ukrainians on August 4 — Sport

On the ninth day of competition, Ukraine was represented by 17 athletes at the 2024 Olympics and won three medals.

On Sunday, August 4, at Olympic Games-2024 the ninth competition day took place in Paris. With our partner company Favbet we follow and cheer for the Ukrainian Olympic team.

On this day, Ukraine was represented at the Olympics by 17 Ukrainian athletes, seven of whom claimed medals.

“Blue and Yellow” competed for awards in cycling (Yulia Biryukova), bench shooting (Iryna Malovichko), gymnastics (Nazar Chepurny, Ihor Radivilov) and athletics, where Yaroslav Maguchih and Iryna Gerashchenko was conquered “gold” and “bronze” respectively from high jumps, and Mykhailo Kohan conquered “bronze” in the hammer throw.

Also on this day, the boxer held his semi-final match Oleksandr Khizhnyakwhich is already guaranteed at least “bronze” for the 2024 Olympic Games. He won and is competing for the “gold”.

Bullet shooting. Small-caliber pistol, 25 m, qualification, accuracy, rapid fire: Pavlo Korostylov (587 points) reached the finals with the third result based on the results of two stages, Maksym Horodynets (584 points) became eighth and did not enter the six finalists. The final will take place on August 5, at 10:30 Kyiv time.

Bench shooting. Skeet, qualification, second day: Iryna Malovichko did not make it to the final, showing the 24th result (113 points) after two days of selection.

Athletics. Hammer throw, qualification: Iryna Klymets did not make it to the finals with a result of 66.95 meters.

Athletics. 400 m breaststroke, qualification: Anna Ryzhikova (55.13 seconds) and Viktoria Tkachuk (58.10 seconds) did not directly advance to the semifinals, but can still qualify for the semifinals through consolation races, which will take place on August 5, at 11 :50.

Cycling. Road race, final: Yuliya Biryukova finished 67th, 11 minutes and 24 seconds behind the winner.

Sports gymnastics. Vault, final: Nazar Chepurny (14.899 points) took sixth place, Ihor Radivilov (14.166 points) became eighth.

Rowing slalom. Kayak Cross Qualifying: Victoria Us advanced to the quarterfinals, finishing second in her heat. The quarter-finals, as well as the semi-finals and the final, will take place on August 5.

Boxing. Up to 80 kg, semi-final: Oleksandr Khizhnyak defeated two-time Olympic champion Arlen Lopez from Cuba by split decision of the judges and made it to the finals.

Athletics. 400-meter run, qualifying: Oleksandr Pohorilko did not advance directly to the semifinals, finishing seventh in his qualifying heat with a time of 45.71 seconds. The Ukrainian will try to qualify for the semi-finals through the consolation races, which will take place on August 5.

Athletics. High jump, final: Yaroslava Maguchih won gold (2.00 meters), Iryna Gerashchenko became the bronze medalist (1.95 meters).

Athletics. Hammer throw, final: Mykhailo Kohan won the bronze medal, showing a result of 79.39 meters.

Thus, after the ninth day of competition, Ukraine has six medals at the 2024 Olympic Games: two gold, one silver and three bronze.
