At the same time, the 42-year-old native of Brno did not start badly, in the first series he missed only one of the 25 flying artificial pigeons and kept within reach of the progress. However, the problem arose in the second series. Lipták did not hit the 29th or 30th target in total, he made two more errors on the 42nd and 45th targets and fell to the last place.
After the lunch break, he started to shoot better, but he couldn’t aim accurately at one target, so there was no big jump in the ranking.
Qualification continues on Tuesday morning, there are two more series on the program, i.e. a total of fifty shots. Even if Lipták doesn’t make a single mistake, he will most likely miss the afternoon final. For the time being, a maximum of two mistakes is enough for the first six. The Swedish Levin-Andersson and the Australian Willet share the lead with a single error.
The torment of the promising expedition of the Czech shooters thus continues. In the air rifle, Jiří Přívratský, who belonged to the circle of wider favorites, did not succeed, and he did not advance to the finals even in the mixed with Veronika Blažíčková. Přívratský together with Petr Nymburský will go to their royal discipline, i.e. three-position small shot, on Wednesday.
