TELEVISION – In the middle of the summer season Fort BoyardFrance 2 wanted to pay tribute to Patrice Laffontits former presenter, died on August 7.
This took the form of a two-minute introductory message delivered by Olivier Minne during a special broadcast on Wednesday, August 14. During this special, recorded last May to celebrate the program’s 35th anniversary and which attracted 1.7 million viewers, Patrice Laffont was in the cast, accompanied by a former host of game showCendrine Dominguez, and former Miss France Sylvie Tellier and Camille Cerf.
“I have a heavy heart speaking to you and yet, I shouldn’t. Because the show you are going to see tonight is joyful, full of friendship and love, laughter, a lot of it.”begins Olivier Minne for this moving tribute. “In the immense playground that is “Fort Boyard”, Patrice was able to express his talents as a presenter and actor for ten years, having fun like a naughty kid to whom anything is allowed. And this was the case, once again, with this anniversary show.”
Viewers’ nostalgia
“Patrice was also that: a modest man, with the boastful appearance of someone who gives the impression that he is not affected by anything, when in fact it was quite the opposite.”continues the current host of the famous show. “Patrice loved nothing more than bringing people together and entertaining them. The greatest tribute we can pay him is to watch him have fun like a child. He will be happy to know that we are together to share this moment of friendship.”he concludes about the one who animated the fort between 1990 and 1999.
