In the corona pandemic, Oliver Pocher has risen to become the nation’s moral apostle. Most recently, he poked fun at the celebrating carnivalists. There are no rules for himself: at the Super Bowl he showed himself in the full stadium without a mask.

It should be funny: In an Instagram video three months ago, Oliver Pocher imitated a corona intensive care patient who struggles through the room with an assistant and speaks in a wheezing voice: “I was on Zülpicher Straße on November 11th and I was there really made a carnival. (…) I don’t let those up there tell me whether I can have fun or not.”

The sitter is said to be a jeck following two months on ventilation in the ICU. The foolish hustle and bustle in Cologne was a thorn in the side of the comedian: “It’s celebrated as if there is no tomorrow,” Pocher rumbled at the time. “It’s crazy what’s going on there.” He considered crowds of people in the 2G area in the open air to be irresponsible and let the whole world know regarding it.

The video was already tasteless at the time. But given Pocher’s own behavior, that may not be his biggest problem. Because for the entertainer himself no rules seem to apply. On Monday, the 43-year-old posted several pictures and videos on Instagram showing him at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles at the Super Bowl. Among 70,000 people, without a mask. Which was undoubtedly in accordance with the rules, but that was also the behavior of the carnivalists criticized by Pocher.

What Oliver Pocher castigates once morest others does not apply to him

A behavior that Pocher recently castigated with sharp words, for which he predicted that carnival participants might go intubated in three months – that doesn’t seem to be a problem for him himself.

The comments on the photo were correspondingly sharp. The users accused him of double standards and lack of credibility. “The Corona preacher! It can hardly be more embarrassing,” wrote a follower.

Apparently Pocher himself seems to have realized how dishonest his old videos are. He has since deleted his old videos, yes Pictures of it can still be found online.

Pocher previously violated hygiene rules

It’s not the first time the man’s hypocritical behavior has attracted attention. Pocher, who had been upset for months regarding the non-corona-compliant behavior of influencers, himself violated the hygiene rules at the beach chair open air in Hartenholm, Schleswig-Holstein, last September.

Two police officers had to escort him off the premises. Even then, Pocher was not insightful and put up bitter resistance. Rules only apply to others.

That’s how it was at the Super Bowl. Of course, you can’t quite compare it to the carnival in Cologne. A city in which the incidence was 250 at the time, as Pocher noted indignantly.

In California was the incidence well over 300 on Sunday.
