This is what happened to the young man Hector Avila, who as soon as he had the opportunity to go to football abroad. At just 15 years old, the Honduran striker will join the list of young catrachos in Europa.

His mother, Sindy Fonseca, spoke with DIEZ and with great joy said that they accepted the proposal of the Marcet Foundation for his boy to move to the mother country to continue training as a soccer player and thus give his short but prolific career a leap in quality.
“Last year we were given a stay at Fundación Marcet with all expenses paid. They measured his performance and then sent us an analysis and told us that he had a lot of potential and things to contribute and learn. They wrote to us in December asking us to join them in January to discuss the issue of training. In January we told them no because we preferred that he continue the studies until June and see what might happen in those months, ”Sindy began by telling.
“Upon returning from the Donosti Cup tournament, where he was the top scorer, they once more gave us the option of the scholarship and for him to join on September 5. We put him in prayer to see if it was what God really wants for him on this path so that we would not leave out of emotion but out of conviction because he was already training with the Olimpia reserves”, he continues.
And it is that in Hector Avila there is a diamond in the rough. He is a player with a nose for goals like few others and that is what Marcet Foundation he wants from him to later place him in a better league on the Old Continent.
“We met, we made the call, we saw the pros of this option, because training in Spain is an excellent opportunity. We proposed it to Héctor because it is not easy to let go of comfort, but he was firm and we decided to accept. It is a harvest of the result of the beginning of this formation”, the mother of the new legionnaire said with great pride.
It should be noted that the first steps of this youth were taken in an Academy of Atlantis Bankthen started his way from the Sub-8 of The Basic Olympic Forceswhere he was trained by Santos “El Indio” Ruiz and his son Denis Ruizwho began their process on the courts of the Infop.
Ávila has had the opportunity since he was 8 years old to be able to gain experience at an international level with children from other countries and participated in the disney cups in Miami and was also crowned top scorer when they participated in The Savior, Costa Rica, Mexico and now recently in spain.
“The time is ten months because every year they are offering you the options of renewing the scholarships, that if you don’t think so, nothing happens with the ten months, or to renew for another season and we saw it well because it is not easy to part with His parents. I think the contribution is going to be very good and at the end of the tournament other scholarship options would come and they will decide if he is ready to make the leap to a first-class team, ”he concluded speaking of the subject.
Hector Avilaaged 15, will leave Honduras next October 3 to fully join the Marcet Foundation from the 6th of the same month. The boy’s mother made it clear that with Olympiad They were on good terms.
“We explained to them the scholarship that our son has won, they gave us the retirement letter and told us that the doors of the club are still open for him because he was born there and trained there. Everything is fine with Olimpia ”, he closed by telling.
