The former mayor of Uman, commander of the machine gun platoon Oleksandr Tsebriy died at the front.
Ihor Taburets, the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, reported this to Telegramreports Ukrinform.
“A heavy loss for Cherkasy. As every time our soldiers die. Oleksandr Tsebriy died defending Ukraine. Former mayor of Uman. Joined the ranks from the first days of the full-scale war. Machine gun platoon commander. Junior sergeant. Glorious warrior. Daredevil. A reliable brother,” Taburets wrote.
He expressed his condolences to the hero’s family and the 58th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovskyi, where Oleksandr Tsebriy served.
Tsebriy was the mayor of Umani in 2015-2020. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he joined the ranks of the 58th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky.
