UBER DA MEDICINA – Olá Doutor application, democratizes telemedicine services in Brazil

Hello Doctor focuses on remote consultations
The application focused on remote medical consultations was created by Anderson Zilli, a specialist in strategic intelligence, consultant, speaker and technology enthusiast, with more than 20 years in the software market. According to the CEO and Founder, the idea is to increasingly reach the public that does not have immediate access to healthcare in a differentiated way, without the obligation to adhere to a plan and without monthly fees. In a format very similar to Uber, Hello Doctor connects doctors to patients. “In addition to this practicality, they can speak the same way they communicate with anyone on WhatsApp. Simple, easy and fast”, explains Anderson Zilli.
Currently, the platform has more than a thousand consultations per month and more than 700 doctors from 23 specialties with services throughout Brazil. In this first year of operation, Olá Doutor, which serves all social classes, found that classes D stand out, with 35% of the calls, C with 26%, followed by class A with 22%, E with 11% and B with 6% of calls. Proving that the lack of access to doctors is still very great and that is why telemedicine is a rapidly growing market, evaluates Anderson Zilli.

Even if the application commits to starting the consultation within 1 hour with a general practitioner, currently the waiting time is on average 4 minutes. Recent data from Saúde Pra Já reveal that 75% of Brazilians do not have a health plan and it is estimated that approximately 200 million consultations are carried out per month in the Unified Health System (SUS). After food vouchers, the benefit most sought after by company employees is the health plan.
