Texas leads Oklahoma 42-0 in what’s on pace to become the worst Sooners loss in the history of the Red River Showdown. Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers has demolished the Oklahoma defense, completing 21 of 31 passes for 289 yards and four touchdowns through three quarters. Running back Bijan Robinson has 130 yards rushing and two touchdowns of his own as the Sooners have no answers on either side of the ball.

Oklahoma found some success running the Wildcat once morest Texas’ defense but has struggled to convert when it gets into the red zone. Tight end Brayden Willis took seven snaps for 18 yards while playing the option, while receiver Jalil Farooq and running back Eric Gray have 119 combined yards. Quarterback Davis Beville has just 38 yards passing in his first career start, a miserable effort in relief of injured starter Dillon Gabriel. No Sooners player has more than two receptions.

Texas’ biggest win over Oklahoma in the rivalry is 33 points, which was achieved in 2005 and 1941. The current 42-point margin is well on the way to outpacing it. The Longhorns are within reach of the 52-point margin that marks Oklahoma’s biggest victory once morest Texas.
