Gasoline and diesel sales prices at domestic gas stations rose for the seventh consecutive week.

Looking at the Korea National Oil Corporation’s oil price information system Opinet, the average selling price of gasoline at gas stations nationwide in the fourth week of this month (20-24) recorded 1,740.8 won, up 13.1 won from the previous week.

The diesel sales price was 1,617.7 won, up 29.4 won from the previous week, and the weekly diesel sales price exceeded 1,600 won for the first time in six months since the third week of February.

International oil prices declined this week due to factors such as an increase in weekly petroleum product inventories in the US, concerns regarding a slowdown in China, and Iran’s continued increase in oil production.

An official from the Korea Petroleum Association predicted, “For the time being, domestic petroleum product prices will continue to rise, but the rate of increase will slow.”
