Oil prices recorded $91.17 per barrel for Brent crude futures, and US West Texas Intermediate crude futures recorded $86.91 per barrel upon settlement on Friday.

The “Islamic Resistance in Iraq” announced in a statement issued at dawn on Saturday that it had targeted Israeli oil refineries in Haifa.

She said in the statement: “The Mujahideen of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq targeted the oil refineries in Haifa in our occupied territories at dawn on Saturday, April 6, 2024.”

It stated in its statement that it “continues to destroy enemy strongholds in completion of the second phase of operations to resist the occupation, to support Gaza, and in response to the Zionist massacres once morest defenseless Palestinian civilians.”

The resistance factions in Iraq had claimed responsibility for bombing areas in Israel and American bases in Syria and Iraq in response to the devastating Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.

The factions also warned the United States that it would increase the number of armed operations in response to “Washington’s continued provision of military assistance to the Israeli army, which is killing civilians in the Gaza Strip and southern Lebanon.”
