Ogowé Siffon on the construction site of the ”Lac Bleu” in Mouila –

Less than seventy-two (72) hours before the arrival of the first caravaners in Mouila, the Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Pascal Ogowé Siffon, is carrying out numerous inspections on the site of the tourist village built around the famous and no less legendary ”Blue Lake”. The government member is thus keen to ensure the successful completion of the project and issues the necessary instructions for its delivery on time.

The “Blue Lake” displays a proud appearance and will certainly offer a dream stay, both to tourists and to all the privileged people registered on circuits 2 and 3 of the Gabon tourist caravan, which each prescribe a stopover and a campsite for overnight stays and a full life around the legendary site of “Blue Lake”located on the outskirts of the provincial capital of Ngounié.

The site has been in the care of the teams and partners of the Ministry of Tourism and Crafts for several weeks. A campsite, a “tourist village” whose construction site is accelerating and the finishing work in progress prefigures its delivery in the next few hours; as was noted last Saturday by the supervising minister, Pascal Ogowé Siffon, who does not hesitate to get his hands dirty.

Around “Blue Lake” particularly sanitized, have spread out in a harmonious and impeccable layout, twenty-three (23) modular berths, with in the center a spacious setting for friendly meetings entirely covered, which will notably house a restaurant-bar and a space for artistic and cultural expressions in the heart of nature.

Circuit 2 of the Gabon tourist caravan (July 15 – August 30, 2024), concerned by the “Blue Lake” from Libreville to Gamba, passing through Lambaréné – Fougamou – Ndéndé – Lébamba – Mouila and returning to Libreville for 6 days and 5 nights; as well as circuit 3, the longest, from Libreville to Gamba, passing through Lambaréné – Fougamou – Mouila – Ndéndé – Lébamba – Mouila and returning to Libreville for 13 days and 12 nights.

The President of the Transition, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguéma, offered 40 free places on this last circuit (3) to 40 Gabonese handpicked from different ministerial departments, selected in recognition of their dedication to their work and their excellence. Miss Tourism Gabon 2024 and her two runners-up are also registered on this circuit.

Intended to promote national tourism and to highlight the cultural and natural riches of the country, the 2024 edition of the Gabon tourist caravan includes another circuit, circuit number 1, Libreville – Lambaréné – Fougamou – Lambaréné and return to Libreville for 4 days and 3 nights.

Tourism is a sector that remains very little developed and promoted in Gabon for a very low contribution (0.15%) to the country’s gross domestic product (GDP).
