Ogooué-Ivindo honors its stars –

This year’s best high school graduates, from the province of Ogooué-Ivindo (northeast) were celebrated during a ceremony organized on Monday by the Initiative 6 Association, as part of the “Support Prize for the best high school graduates of the province of Ogooué-Ivindo 2024”.

There are thirteen (13) winners in total, all from Makokou, who received accompanying prizes including HP brand laptops, registration certificates for accelerated computer training, as well as an envelope of three hundred (30,000) CFA francs each; rewarding their exceptional performances and their brilliant success in the last session of the baccalaureate.

The opportunity for the president of the Initiative 6 Association, Sylvia Zondo Panga, to encourage the recipients to continue their quest for excellence. “You are rising stars of our province. The “Excellence 6″ project is our modest contribution to your future success. We believe in your potential and in your ability to fly the flag for Gabon and in particular for Ogooué-Ivindo,” she proudly declared.

In the process, the Secretary General of the private ITER Institute, Patrick Dilongo Ndjehou, announced the opening of an accelerated and free training in computer science for the benefit of 13 high school graduates, scheduled to begin on August 19, 2024.

“Because the world has become digital today and being computer literate these days is a crime of lèse-majesté for students, the ITER Private Institute places particular emphasis on initiation and training in IT. This practical training allows students to be seasoned in the different areas of the Office suite software. As part of our partnership, we will train the graduates to master the Office suite, i.e. Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint, in order to prepare them for the requirements of university studies,” he said, emphasizing the importance of mastering digital tools in today’s academic world.

The Initiative 6 Association is the result of a commitment and a resolute desire to actively contribute to the educational and technological development of the province of Ogooué-Ivindo.
