The media and sports woman, Ofira Essig, dropped a huge bomb last night after she announced that she and her partner, Gili Menkin, were getting a final divorce. The two experienced a crisis in their marriage somewhere in 2019 that ended in a comeback, but after a short period they finally separated.
Essig was not left in debt when she wrote to her followers last night: “Gili and I are getting a divorce.” It’s over a long time ago and it’s no secret. We have three sweet and good children and they are our whole life and we will remain good friends for their sake.”
Essig’s friends and associates were not surprised by the move that had been quietly brewing for a long time. We tried to contact one of the colleagues most closely identified with Ofira, Eyal Berkovic, who both went their separate ways during the past year, but he refused to respond to us in any way.
