The Jesuit priest, lawyer and rector of the UCAB, Arturo Peraza assured that both the population leaning towards the ruling party and the opposition, “agree with a change and a new model.”
In this sense, he highlighted in an interview with Unión Radio that it will be “vital that on July 29 we have results that are auditable, clear, transparent and that effectively provide peace of mind to the country so that it can be recognized that there is a majority that spoke out in one direction or another”
Regarding the electoral environment, he assured that “it is a pleasant surprise to have reached this point in the electoral political process, within a framework of quite a few limitations.”
Given this, the Venezuelan lawyer and politician, Ramón Guillermo Aveledo, expressed that in the country there is an atmosphere of “hope and uncertainty” because of what a change could mean for the country.
For his part, Aveledo indicated that on this occasion the opposition is the “clearest” choice to become a real option for power. “2024 has had the characteristic of being an open window for there to be the change that the majority aspires for,” he said.
Both analysts agreed that there is “an immense movement of desire to vote and have peace.” And they explained that citizens have the disposition to change through voting and not through other routes.
Regarding the results of many of the surveys that show Edmundo González above Nicolás Maduro, they stated that the gap that exists is true and can only be reduced by a few points in the electoral result.
