The concerned authorities decided to withdraw the land of the new extension of the Sheikh Zayed Club, and the Sheikh Zayed Club’s board of directors was informed, headed by the acting chairman of the board of directors, accountant Ahmed Abdel-Baqi. The need to transfer assets in that land, but that has not happened so far.
The current council headed by Ahmed Abdel-Baqi was informed of the withdrawal of the extension land belonging to Sheikh Zayed Club due to the slowdown in the procedures for transferring assets following giving the club’s board of directors a deadline to complete the procedures for transferring assets. With reference to the grievance submitted by you regarding the land with an area of (32608.83 m2) located in the central axis (the extension of the club) previously allocated to the club by the asset transfer system regarding the request for approval to grant you a deadline to complete the procedures for the transfer of assets.
Since you have been given more than one deadline to complete the procedures for transferring assets, to date we have not received the approval of the Presidency of the Republic to allocate a plot of land referred to above.
We have the honor to take note of the presentation to the competent authority, which decided to take into effect the decision to cancel the allotment of the plot of land mentioned above.
It is reported that Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, opened the new branch on November 9, 2020, during Fikri Al-Hawari’s presidency of the Sheikh Zayed Club, following a judicial battle that ended in favor of the club by building on it and annexing it to the properties of Sheikh Zayed Club, and 6 stadiums were established and the branch was prepared to serve the General Assembly.
