Officially.. Mohamed El-Shorbagy announces that England will represent Egypt in squash: he owes this country

The Egyptian national squash player, ranked third in the world, announced: Mohamed El ShorbagyFor his representation of the England national team, instead of his country of origin, Egypt, during the coming period.

This was confirmed by the Professional Squash Players Association a while ago through its official account on the social networking site “Facebook”.

Al-Shorbagy spoke in exclusive statements to the English Squash Federation a while ago, and said: “I am excited to represent England, I have lived in it for more than half my life.”

He added: “I have trained with British coaches since I was 15 in 2006 on a scholarship to train at Millfield School under coach, Jonah Barrington.”

He continued: “I studied at the University of the West of England in 2009, then graduated and Bristol has been my home since then and I got my British citizenship a few months ago.”

He continued, “Squash in England has helped me a lot in my sporting career, whether it was during school or following graduation because they realize how important it is for me to be in England and not just for them to try to represent their country in the future.”

He continued: “When you have such people who help you and appreciate you without waiting for anything in return, it means a lot to me, and when I had the opportunity immediately I agreed to take it to play for the people who have been supporting me since the beginning of my career.”

“I feel I owe everyone here, so I decided to represent England to try to win as many titles as I did with Egypt Because I owe this country and I want to win the World Cup once more, be number one under the British flag and help the young players in the future following I finish my career.”
