Just before kick-off between PSG and Le Havre on Saturday evening, the news came.
Warren Zaïre-Emery, 18, has extended his contract with the Ligue 1 giants. The new agreement runs until the summer of 2029.
The matter was announced in front of the home crowd on the inside pitch of the Parc des Princes.
– I am very proud and happy. I feel enormous pride to be able to continue my journey at the club that has been mine since boyhood, the club that I have always wanted to play for since I was little, he told PSG’s website.
– My family and I have always watched PSG’s matches and I have always loved the club. I have always supported the club and now I have had to wear the shirt myself for a year and a half. I am very proud.
He adds:
– Getting to play for my club is a dream that has come true. I hope it continues like this for as long as possible, because it really is the club I love and the club I want to play for as long as I can.
Zaïre-Emery came to PSG as an eight-year-old and was brought up at the club. The young midfielder recently made his debut in France’s A national team.
