Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu announced on Thursday that the Government will approve the extension of the validity of Euroins policies by another 3 months, i.e. until December 8.

- “I think the reason for this change is legitimate. More than 1.8 million RCA policies issued by Euroins are still in force, and if the current expiry date of September 8 were kept, it is obvious that there would be a real danger of a decrease in the degree of inclusion in the compulsory RCA insurance of a segment giant from the national car park.”, said the prime minister.
We remind you that all insurance contracts issued by Euroins, an insurer in bankruptcy, will automatically expire on September 8, 2023.
The drivers were not very interested in denouncing the RCA policies at Euroins, in order to get new ones most probably more expensive, so the ASF proposed to extend the term by 3 months, and the Ministry of Finance brought up for debate on August 18 a draft Emergency ordinance in this regard.
The insurance brokers sent an address to the Government on Monday, for the attention of Prime Minister Ciolacu, in which they warn that the postponement for next week of the emergency Ordinance on the extension of the validity of Euroins RCA policies risks blocking the operational systems and massively increasing the number of cars without RCA in traffic.
