The prosecution’s investigation team, which has been investigating Chief Prosecutor Han Dong-hoon, a close aide to President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol, formally reported the results of the investigation to the Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office of acquitting Han Dong-hoon.

The Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office said only, “We will make a quick decision by synthesizing the evidence analysis situation and related legal principles.”
The investigative team reported to the commander several times that it would acquit a prosecutor, but the command declined the report on the grounds that it did not even analyze the prosecutor’s cell phone.
Previously, in 2020, former Justice Minister Choo Mi-ae exercised command of the investigation to exclude then Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol from the lead of the investigation into the case of Prosecutor General Han Dong-hoon.
