As expected, Georginio Wijnaldum leaves Paris Saint-Germain and goes on loan to Italy, on the side of AS Roma! The loan includes an option to buy, the Italian club said in a communiqué.
A year and then goes away, Georginio Wijnaldum was a real failure since his arrival at Paris Saint-Germain. A departure was inevitable and theAS Roma will aim to relaunch it a few months before the World Cup. The Romans welcome the former Liverpool player in loan with option to buy. This is a new (big) reinforcement for the Louve club following Paulo Dybala, Zeki Celik, Mile Svilar and Nemanja Matic.

The 2021-2022 season was nightmarish for Wijnaldum. Recruited free following five good years at Liverpool, all observers believed that PSG had struck a blow. However, following 38 appearances, three goals and three assists, disappointment prevails. While Paris seems to be taking another turn, the recruitment of Vitinha and of Renato Sanches further blocked the chances of seeing the Dutchman on the pitch. The Rotterdam native even lost his place in the national team.
